I have always LOVED babies.  My parents often remind me, when asked what I wanted to be when I grew up I would reply "a mother." In so many ways my journey into motherhood and appreciation for the power of women and their ability to give birth began a long time ago.

I'm Emily, a trained birth doula with a passion for helping women find their inner strength during pregnancy and birth.  We are stronger than we know, but even a mother needs to be mothered sometimes! I find there is a beautiful balance between that fearsome strength plus relying on trusted support, and finally, just "letting go." I am honored to bear witness to this as a birth doula. It is a vulnerable and private time for families and I deeply respect these moments while working to provide support as needed.

Having been a stay at home mom since 2008, I am so thrilled to be able to take what I have learned as a mother and wife, as well as an active community member in many mom groups (because it takes a village) and partner real life experiences with my trainings in birth and breastfeeding to be able to connect, and lovingly support families in what can be an overwhelming and challenging time in their lives. When I'm not working as a doula, you can find me on a soccer field cheering on my boys, knee deep in a DIY project around the house, hiking, cooking or reading.
